MotoGP Brno: Jorge Lorenzo “The championship is not lost yet, but it becomes very difficult”

Jorge Lorenzo was the author of a great race in Brno, scene of the Czech Republic Grand Prix. The reigning Yamaha champion made a fantastic start from the second row and then maintained an impressive pace throughout the race. He managed to stay in the lead for most of the race, then had to surrender to the superiority of Honda, which at the moment has an "extra gear" compared to the Yamahas. Here's what the Majorcan said after the match.

“I think I made the best start of my entire MotoGP career, I recovered four positions and in the first laps I was very fast. In the end I had to give in to the Hondas and I wasn't even able to defend second place. Especially under braking and on the straights they were faster than me, so I couldn't do much more. I was a bit nervous when I saw the white flag, because it's really dangerous to race with slick tires on small patches of rain, but luckily we managed to finish the race in the dry. Finally, when Dani overtook me I no longer had the rear tire and even physically after pushing so hard I was tired. The championship is not lost yet, but it is very difficult now. We need a few tenths to win races, so we have to pray for the one at Silverstone!”
