MotoGP Brno, Free Practice 2: Flurry of crashes among the big names, Marquez sets the best time
Pedrosa, Rossi, Dovizioso, Smith, Di Meglio and Marquez on the ground
MotoGP 2015 GP Czech Republic FP2 – The second free practice session of the MotoGP class in Brno was characterized by many illustrious crashes.
The first to fall was Dani Pedrosa, who lost control of his Honda RC213V, shortly afterwards imitated by Valentino Rossi, with the latter losing the front end of his Yamaha M1. At the end of the session, Andrea Dovizioso, Bradley Smith, Mike di Meglio also crashed and reigning champion Marc Marquez a few seconds from the end.
Marquez set the best time of the session, putting his Honda ahead of everyone with a time of 1:56.513. The Honda rider preceded his compatriot Jorge Lorenzo, trailing by just 76 thousandths, while the excellent Andrea Iannone, third with the Ducati, was 0.237s behind.
The Ducati rider leads Valentino Rossi by just 0.324s, while the seven-time Top Class world champion is ahead of Pol Espargarò by just 4 thousandths.
Sixth time for Andrea Dovizioso, seventh for Aleix Espargarò, eighth for Cal Crutchlow, ninth for Bradley Smith and tenth for Yonny Hernandez. Danilo Petrucci on the second Ducati of Team Pramac is eleventh and ahead of Isaac Vinales.
