Alvaro Bautista he ends the first day of free practice in Brno with the 8th time, 9 tenths behind Stefan Bradl. The Gresini team rider is still missing something, so much so among the prototypes it closes just before the Ducatis, but in any case there is no lack of confidence for tomorrow morning's tests and especially for the afternoon qualifying sessions. Indeed going in search of some technical solutions today Bautista did not use new tires for the last minutes of this afternoon thus missing the final leap that would have allowed him to reduce the gap to the top.

“Today went worse than expected – said Alvaro Bautista – because I had a lot of grip problems on the rear wheel and the tire didn't give me confidence. We tried several solutions but didn't find what we were looking for. However, I am confident for tomorrow because on paper we have ideas on how to intervene and if we manage to improve the partials we will be able to recover positions but above all get closer to the leaders. Given the data in hand, we will work with tranquility and conviction"
