MotoGP: Ben Spies will skip Jerez
More shoulder problems for the American rider, forced to stop for three weeks
The news came just a few minutes ago that Ben Spies, rider of the Ignite Ducati Pramac team, will not be present at Jerez de la Frontera. The Texan had started the season still recovering from shoulder problems, which also seemed to be improving. Instead, the problem recurred during the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americans, strong enough to slow him down in practice and in the race and to convince him to pay a visit to his trusted medical team.
The response was a forced stop for three weeks, during which the former Superbike world champion will undergo intensive physiotherapy sessions in order to relieve the muscular tension suffered by the pectoral and dorsal muscles, all in order to recover the fully fit in time for the Le Mans Grand Prix in France. In place of Spies it has been decided that Michele Pirro (already entered as a wild card in the Spanish Grand Prix) will wear the colors of the Ignite Pramac Racing Team

I think Pedrosa has found a worthy competitor for the "luckiest driver of the year" cup.
Come on Ben, we want you on your bike and in shape!
Now Pirro no longer gets off the bike between test riders and races, they will pass him sandwiches, a blanket and a pillow directly in the quick passages to the pits
