MotoGP GP Catalunya – One-two for Suzuki in Montmelò, theater of the Catalunya Grand Prix, seventh stage of the 2015 world championship. Starting from pole position will be Aleix Espargarò, rider from Granollers, a town just a few kilometers away from the Catalan circuit. The #41 from the Hamamatsu manufacturer also set a new track record, with a time of 1:40.546, beating Dani Pedrosa's previous record.

To complete the masterpiece of the Japanese manufacturer (which here has a more powerful engine) also the second place of the rookie Maverick Vinales, the fastest of the Free Practice 3. The front row is completed by the Yamaha of Jorge Lorenzo, third and who in the lap in the final he made a small mistake which perhaps cost him pole.

In the second row we find two Hondas and a Ducati, namely Marc Marquez (+0.208s), Andrea Dovizioso (+0.361s) and Dani Pedrosa (+0.382s). The three preceded Valentino Rossi, who will start from the third row with the seventh fastest time. The Yamaha champion lapped in 1:41.058, a time just over half a second faster than that set by the poleman.

Difficult qualifying for Andrea Iannone, who didn't go beyond twelfth place. The poleman from Mugello will therefore be forced into a comeback race if he wants to be a protagonist again.

Ronnie, where are you? Help me, I don't understand anything anymore, SUZUKI in the first two positions..

Why don't you get there? Track + Soft Tire ;)

Suzuki also brought engine modifications, which is now almost at Yamaha level, and has 2 very motivated Spanish riders.

In any case, the bike adapts well to the Softs and to this circuit, including the riders, in fact they are both there.

Calm down though because with the Soft removed, in the race with the medium they don't have the pace shown by Lorenzo Rossi and the 2 Honda riders at all.

If they race with the Softs they can stay there like last year's Ducatis at the start of the GP, if they start with the mediums they'll be there until the end of the race.

No one has Lorenzo's times this morning and apparently in the afternoon he wasn't that fast for the simple fact that he was saving an average on the rear to make 3 attempts in qualifying...

In short, he can go on the run tomorrow too, so it's better to hope that some of the Suzukis or Ducatis risk the Soft and put a spoke in his wheels at the start of the race, because otherwise I see a Marquez wandering like in the last GP where he can only follow for a few laps, and nothing more. If Rossi doesn't start well he's out of the game like the last GP, and Pedrosa too.

Come on, next year Honda will get rid of Pedrosa and from that marvel of motorbike to a younger and more deserving one named Aleix Espargarò, come on!!!!

    GREAT!!!!!!!!POLE POLE POLE!!!! 1st AND 2nd!!!!
A Suzuki hadn't started from pole since 2007 and first and second positions on the grid had been missing since '93.

    Thanks guys, keep it up!!!!

Lorenzo will win the race (barring strange things, but his percentage of victory is equal to his number) and it will go as it should for the rest of the podium steps (where there will be a good fight in my opinion), but today's is pure enjoyment!

Keep it up folks!!! Developing, developing and developing this bike that we can now write was born quite well!

Jorge doesn't have one gear more on his pace, but two compared to everyone else... The times he set in FP3 were impressive. The Jorge of 2013 is back, but with a very competitive bike.
It's a hammer, it remains fixed at impressive times.

The only way is to "saw" his round lines... Otherwise if he tries to gain those few tenths in the early stages, you'll see him again at the end of the race.

The problem, however, is doing it :) And frankly, given his pace, there are no doubts about who will win the race... That is Jorge.

It remains a pleasure at the highest level to see two Suzukis in front of everyone (obviously, I don't forget the advantage of the soft tyre, I'm not shocked... but the good Ducati also has this tire XD).

    Thanks again guys, keep going!

    GO SUZUKI!!!!!!!!

I think that Rossi has some hope of fighting for the victory only with the high temperatures and the fact that they have to choose the Hard at the rear, cutting the Ducatis and Suzukis out of the game at the end of the race.

Honestly, I didn't understand all of Rossi's optimism during the weekend in which he said he was happy with his performance, his pace didn't seem fantastic to me, and for now he was behind Lorenzo and Marquez, we'll see in the race...
