MotoGP Austria Preview: Marquez, “Tough track, we'll think about the championship”
The Honda rider finished fifth at the Red Bull Ring last year
MotoGP Red Bull Ring Repsol Honda Team – Marc Marquez arrives at the Red Bull Ring, eleventh stage of the 2017 MotoGP, after the victory in Brno, which allowed him to extend his lead in the championship. The Honda rider, after two consecutive successes (he had also won at the Sachsenring before the summer break), will also try to do well on a circuit where he struggled last year. The word is up to him.
“The Red Bull Ring is a circuit where we struggled a bit last year, but hopefully this year will be different. Brno had also been a difficult track in the past, but in the end we achieved a fantastic result, so we go to Austria with a positive feeling – said Marc Marquez – In the post-race test we were able to look at different aspects of the setup of our bike, also in view of the next race, for example to obtain better acceleration and reduce wheelying. Of course you need good braking stability so we'll see; as always, it will be a question of compromise. The Red Bull Ring round is also important for one of our main sponsors, and we will do our best to get a good result for them and to earn important points for the championship.”
