MotoGP Austin Race: Alvaro Bautista “I was expecting another race”

Alvaro Bautista's race ended in eighth place, overtaken at the last corner by Andrea Dovizioso, with whom he engaged in a duel that lasted most of the second half of the race. A result that does not leave the Spaniard completely satisfied after the expectations created after Saturday's qualifying. The word to him:

“I expected to do another race after the sensations I had yesterday during qualifying and honestly I thought I would also be able to improve the pace. Unfortunately, however, this wasn't the case because during the race I had less confidence and felt the bike slipping. I tried to stay with the group but I couldn't. In the end, after recovering 2 seconds from Dovizioso, I engaged in a nice duel with him but in the last corner I made a mistake and he overtook me. Too bad I'll have the chance to make up for it in Jerez in two Sundays on my home track which I really like."
