When a driver arrives to race in the top category, especially if he arrives as a world champion, he expects to be able to win a race as soon as possible. But perhaps he didn't expect this victory to come in the second championship match either. Marc Marquez climbs to the top step of the MotoGP podium for the first time today, becoming the youngest winner of a race in the top category; a feat that not even Valentino Rossi or Casey Stoner had managed and which launches him to all intents and purposes among the greats of the category. The word is up to him.

“After my first podium in Qatar I was very happy, but I am much more happy after my first victory! It went better than I expected and I am very grateful to the team for their efforts during the preseason; We worked very hard and, without all this, the victory would never have been possible. The race was very intense physically, because I followed Dani for many laps and then I decided to launch an attack on him and try to create a bit of a gap with ten laps to go. I wasn't able to create the gap I wanted as some problems arose which I had throughout the weekend. Despite this, we managed to win. The 25 points are important, but it is much more important that I managed to win in my second MotoGP race. We know that more difficult circuits will come for us, but we will give 100% in all of them. We are not fighting for the championship, but rather race by race and enjoying every moment."
