Dutch GP MotoGP Warm Up – The MotoGP class riders took to the track for the warm up of the Dutch Grand Prix at an unusual time (09), given that the race will also be brought forward by an hour (start at 10 instead of usual 13pm) due to concurrence with Formula 00.

Unfortunately, torrential rain, which began as soon as they entered the track, meant that the drivers immediately returned to the pits. Danilo Petrucci, who will start from the front row (third fastest) in the race, decided to return after a few laps on the rain tyres, given that in some points of the track some very dangerous puddles of water had been created.

A "wasted" session, especially for those like Maverick Vinales, Dani Pedrosa and especially Jorge Lorenzo who were hoping for a dry session to regain the feeling lost yesterday in the wet. The weather forecast for the race does not promise anything good and we remember that last year the race was divided in two due to torrential rain and the winner was Jack Miller, who celebrated on the podium by drinking champagne from his boot (a typical Australian gesture), something we have already seen in Formula 1 with Daniel Ricciardo, who celebrated his 100th GP by drinking champagne on the podium in Hockenheim.

The drivers took to the track in the final minutes and the fastest was Jack Miller, who lapped in 1:51.203. Brand mate Marc Marquez follows the Australian, trailing by just 17 thousandths.

Third time for Andrea Iannone, who preceded Alvaro Bautista, Alex Rins, Tito Rabat, Maverick Vinales, Scott Redding and Pol Espargarò. Tenth time for Valentino Rossi, but these times are not indicative given the lot of water on the track and given that they only left the pits in the final minutes. Only fifteen times were timed, reported below.
