MotoGP Assen: Vinales, “Starting so far back will be a big problem”

Gp Assen MotoGP Yamaha QP – Yesterday was the day of redemption for Maverick Vinales, who after the dull race in Barcelona, ​​had set the best time on Day 1 of the Dutch Grand Prix. In addition to the best time, the Spanish Yamaha rider also had the best pace, but today in qualifying, thanks to the weather, he didn't go beyond the eleventh time and will therefore start from the fourth row. The word is up to him.

“This morning I felt good on the bike, then I don't know what happened and in qualifying I no longer had any feeling – said Maverick Vinales – We have to look at the data and try to understand the reason. In Free Practice 4 I didn't run much because we wouldn't have had time to change the tyres. If it rains tomorrow it will be important to find a solution to the problems that slowed us down today.”

Vinales then talked about what he expects for the race.

“It's always a problem to start so far back, eleventh. You are in the middle, there are many riders who want to gain positions in the first corners. It's always a risk. You have to make a perfect start and give your all. With a good start I can have a chance. I'm one of the few who tried the hard tires enough for many laps.”
