Gp Assen MotoGP Yamaha Race – Maverick Vinales got quite a scare in Assen and also lost the top spot in the world rankings, which went to Andrea Dovizioso. The Yamaha Spaniard, while making a good comeback, lost control of his M1 at the chicane preceding the finishing straight, being grazed by Dovizioso himself. “I don't know what happened when I fell, it was the strangest fall of my life. I was giving it my all, I was giving it my all but it was truly incredible. I thank Dovizioso that he managed not to hit me – said Maverick Vinales – In my opinion, without the fall I could have stayed in front. Before passing Redding I did the fastest lap, then afterwards I was pushing harder than those in the lead and I still had the margin. Looking on the bright side, besides Dovi not impressing me, it must be said that I'm second in the standings. Today I wanted to win, I was pushing the bike at 200% but that's how it went, the only thing I can do is improve and think about the next races.”
