MotoGP Assen, Free Practice: Ben Spies “Today was a good day”

Ben Spies started the weekend in Assen well, the scene of the seventh stage of the 2012 world championship. The official Yamaha rider achieved the best time on the track which up to now has given him his only success in MotoGP (he won the edition of last year). The word is up to him.

“Today was a good day, both this morning and this afternoon. In the second session we practically covered the race distance on the tires and in case of rain we are ready for Saturday's race. We ran quickly and then I tried the soft tires at the end of the session and we managed to do some fast laps with the front tire having already covered the race distance. The bike is good and we intend to continue on this path and try to make the bike even better for tomorrow and for Saturday's race.”
