MotoGP 2015 Assen Dutch TT – Valentino Rossi achieved the best time in the third free practice session of the MotoGP class in Assen, where the Dutch Grand Prix, eighth stage of the 2015 world championship, is scheduled for tomorrow.

The Yamaha champion stopped the clock at a time of 1'33"167, going 0.108s ahead of his teammate Jorge Lorenzo, his most dangerous rival in the general classification (he follows Rossi by just one point).

Ducati is doing very well, making a lot of progress compared to yesterday. Andrea Iannone in fact achieved the third fastest time, just 17 thousandths behind Lorenzo's Yamaha, while Andrea Dovizioso was fourth, 64 thousandths behind his teammate. A good response after the grip and stability problems highlighted yesterday.

Reigning champion Marc Marquez set the sixth fastest time, behind Bradley Smith and ahead of his team-mate Dani Pedrosa, the fastest on Day 1.

Closing out the Top Ten are Maverick Vinales, Pol Espargarò, and Cal Crutchlow, the last to directly access Q2. Danilo Petrucci only touched them. The Terni rider from Team Pramac Ducati finished eleventh, ahead of Aleix Espargarò's Suzuki. In order to access Q2 he will therefore have to compete in Q1 together with the drivers outside the 10.

The Ducatis went very fast on the flying lap with the soft on the rear, but in terms of pace only Iannone seems to keep a good pace, even if he doesn't seem very constant and slightly slower than Honda and Yamaha.

Dovizioso doesn't seem to digest this dry circuit for now.

Marquez was fast but once again he followed Lorenzo, then Iannone and Smith it seems to me, if they continue to throw him the trajectories then they will find him underfoot as usual...

We'll see in FP4 if they'll do race simulations.
