Dutch GP MotoGP Free Practice 3 – As per the weather forecast, the third free practice session of the MotoGP class Dutch Grand Prix took place in Assen in the rain.

This meant that no one could improve and therefore those who were left out of the Top Ten yesterday, such as Jorge Lorenzo for example, will be forced to compete in Q1 to try to access Q2, where the pole position of the eighth stage will be contested of the 2017 world championship.

The fastest in the wet was Scott Redding, who put the Pramac Racing Ducati GP16 at the top of the timesheets with a time of 1:46.441.

The British rider preceded Valentino Rossi (+0.231s), who continued to use the new chassis, to understand whether the advantages found in the dry were also valid in the wet. Looking at the performance it would seem so and already yesterday Rossi had said that he wanted to continue using the new chassis, already tested in Barcelona.

The Yamaha rider from Pesaro is ahead of the reigning champion Marc Marquez, his team-mate Maverick Vinales (the fastest on dry surfaces) and the Monster Yamaha Tech3 Team rookie, Johann Zarco.

Hector Barberà is sixth, followed by Aleix Espargarò, Jorge Lorenzo, Loris Baz and Andrea Iannone. Danilo Petrucci, who was the fastest in FP1 yesterday, is eleventh, ahead of Andrea Dovizioso, winner of the last two races, raced at Mugello and Barcelona. Dani Pedrosa is far behind, last at 2.850 from the top.

We remind you that Vinales, Folger, Marquez, Dovizioso, Crutchlow, Rossi, Petrucci, Zarco, Bautista and Pedrosa, who yesterday returned to the Top Ten, have direct access to Q2.
