MotoGP | Argentina, Day 1: Pedrosa, “We must improve”
"It wasn't the best day for us," he concluded
Argentina GP, Honda Racing – Thirteenth position for Daniel Pedrosa on the first day of free practice for the Argentine Grand Prix, the second round of the 2017 MotoGP world championship. The Spaniard, unlike Marc Marquez, was unable to exploit the potential of his Honda, struggling quite a bit on the "dusty" asphalt of Termas de Rio Hondo. The objective will be to improve in free practice three tomorrow afternoon (rain permitting) to achieve direct access to Q2.
Here are the words of Dani Pedrosa: “Today wasn't the best day for us as we suffered a puncture during FP1. In FP2 we started well, testing some tires when the track conditions were quite good, but unfortunately, when I was improving during my second outing, I lost the front and had a small accident. I was testing the hard compound for the first time and maybe I pushed too much. It wasn't ideal for our attack at the time as I no longer had the same feeling as before. Sometimes you have to deal with days like this. Let's hope we can improve in free practice three."
