Cal Crutchlow he closed the first day of free practice in Aragon in 7th place. The Yamaha Monster Tech3 team rider finished just under a second behind Spies and two tenths behind his teammate Dovizioso. However, Crutchlow feels good on the bike and was slowed down by a small problem at the end of the session. However, for tomorrow he is ready to fight for the front row.

“I feel good with the pace – Crutchlow said – with the rain, I'm close to the leaders and I know I could have finished in the top three. I had a small problem with the steering at the end and without that I'm sure I would have done better than 7th. Tomorrow we will take another step forward if conditions are like today. The bike setup is good and with some improvements I can fight for the front row tomorrow. But I hope that the rest of the weekend will be dry and that the fans will be able to enjoy a good race."
