Dani Pedrosa managed to conquer the front row in the Aragon Grand Prix, the scene of the fourteenth stage of the 2014 world championship. The Honda centaur hadn't managed to do so for some races and this "calms him down" from a race perspective. At Motorland the first corner is in fact very "funnel" shaped and starting from the front certainly helps. He also "cherished" the dream of being on pole in his home Grand Prix, but then he had to surrender to team-mate Marc Marquez, who had the say.

“Today was a good qualifying. In other races I struggled because I didn't start from the front, but today I achieved a good lap time. Tomorrow the race will be very close and I hope to be with Marc (Marquez, ed.) to fight for the victory. It will be very important to start well, even if the race is long and you will need to have concentration at every corner."
