MotoGP GP Spain Jerez Free Practice 1 – The first test session of the Spanish Grand Prix MotoGP class held in Jerez saw the Marquez brothers as protagonists.

The fastest was Alex Marquez, who stopped the clock at a time of 1:36.630, half a second faster than his brother Marc, but Alex was the only rider on the track to mount two new soft tyres.

Behind the Gresini Racing riders we find Maverick Vinales, with the Aprilia rider who proved to be competitive after the fantastic weekend in Austin, where he achieved pole and victories in the Sprint on Saturday and in the race on Sunday.

The Venetian company is also doing very well with Aleix Espargarò, who places the second RS-GP 24 Factory in fourth position, ahead of the Ducatis of Franco Morbidelli (Pramac Racing) and Marco Bezzecchi (VR46 Racing Team).

Excellent session for Dani Pedrosa, with the KTM wild card seventh, ahead of his brand mate Brad Binder, Jorge Martin's Ducati Factory (Pramac Racing) and Pedro Acosta's Team GASGAS Tech3 KTM, which closes the Top Ten.

Fabio di Giannantonio (Ducati VR46 Racing Team) finished 11th, ahead of the officials Pecco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini, with the two riders of the internal team separated from the top by 1.162s and 1.256s with some setting problems.

The first non-European bike is Fabio Quartararo's Yamaha, with the Frenchman 14th and ahead of Miguel Oliveira's Aprilia RS-GP 24 (Trackhouse), Jack Miller's KTM and team-mate Alex Rins.

Best Honda rider despite a crash is Johann Zarco (Team LCR), 19th at 1.730s from Alex Marquez. Aprila wild card Lorenzo Savadori is 23rd while Luca Marini (Repsol Honda) closes the timesheets, 2.145s behind the top.
