MotoGP GP Qatar Sprint Race – Jorge Martin won the Sprint Race of the Qatar Grand Prix in the MotoGP class, the 19th event of the 2023 MotoGP championship scheduled at the Lusail International Circuit.

The Spanish Pramac Racing rider who started from the second row had a good start, putting his Ducati immediately ahead of that of the leader of the world championship standings Pecco Bagnaia (who started one place ahead, ed.), who only finished fifth and who sees reduce the lead over his rival to 7 points.

Great second place for the Roman Fabio Di Giannantonio, who tried to win despite not the best start on the Gresini Racing Ducati Desmosedici GP. A good performance for "Diggia" who we remember is still without a bike with a view to 2024.

Also on the Sprint "podium" was pole-man Luca Marini, riding the Ducati of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team. Alex Marquez, after starting in the leading positions, finished fourth on the Gresini Racing Desmosedici, ahead of an "off" Pecco Bagnaia, who immediately looked at the rear tire once he arrived in the garage.

Behind him was Maverick Vinales with the Aprilia Factory, sixth and ahead of the KTM of Brad Binder, the Yamaha of Fabio Quartararo who made a good comeback and the KTM of Team GASGAS of Augusto Fernandez. Johann Zarco closes the Top Ten with the second Ducati Pramac.

Marc Marquez, after a good start, finished 11th and paid for a decisive entry from Binder which made him go wide and lose many positions. The eight-time world champion finished ahead of Jack Miller on KTM, Marco Bezzecchi, on a Ducati of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team, Raul Fernandez (Aprilia SAT RNF) and Franco Morbidelli (Yamaha Factory).

A race to forget for Enea Bastianini (Ducati Factory), Aleix Espargarò (Aprilia Factory) and Miguel Oliveira, who got into an accident a few corners after the start.
