MotoGP Italian GP Mugello Race – Pole man Pecco Bagnaia, after winning the Sprint Race of the Italian Grand Prix, held on the splendid Mugello track, sixth round of the 2023 MotoGP, also won the "long" race on Sunday, which began with the Italian anthem sung by the trio “Il Volo” and with the Frecce Tricolori who flew over the finishing straight immediately before the start.

A perfect race for the #1 Ducati, who achieved his third victory of the season (after those in Portimao and Jerez, ed.), 14th in MotoGP, 24th in his career. A perfect weekend for Bagnaia, who won Pole with record, Sprint Race and "long" race on Sunday.

Ready-go took the lead of the race, keeping Jorge Martin at a distance, who unlike Pecco was fitted with a soft tire on the rear instead of the medium chosen by the reigning champion.

Martin then took the second step of the podium on the track with the Ducati Pramac with the "Divine Comedy“, who preceded team-mate Johann Zarco, who in turn beat Luca Marini.

The #10 of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team ran an attacking race despite the fracture to his right hand suffered at Le Mans and in the end got the better of Brad Binder's KTM and Aleix Espargarò's #41 Aprilia.

Also in the Top Ten are Jack Miller with the second KTM, a Marco Bezzecchi who is less fit than in the Sprint Race on the Ducati Mooney VR46 Racing Team, the returning Enea Bastianini on the Ducati Factory and a revived Franco Morbidelli on the Yamaha Factory.

Also in points were a disappointing Fabio Quartararo on the second Factory Yamaha, an equally disappointing Maverick Vinales on Aprilia, Takaaki Nakagami (Honda LCR), Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati Gresini) and Augusto Fernandez (GASGAS).

Of note are the falls of the Marquez brothers while fighting for podium positions. Marc crashed at Bucine, arriving long and off the line, while Alex crashed further ahead while trying to keep Marini at bay. Miguel Oliveira also crashed without consequence with the Aprilia RNF.

Curious scene at the end of the race, with Bagnaia stopping along the circuit where his fan club was present. A small table and four chairs were present and, once Pecco had taken off his helmet, he ate a hot dog that is so dear to him, which he usually "bites into" once he arrives in the pits.

With this victory Bagnaia takes himself to 131 points, 21 more than Marco Bezzecchi. Third position for Jorge Martin, 24 points behind, while Binder is 39 points behind.
