MotoGP GP Mugello Sprint Race KTM – Fifth position for Jack Miller at the end of the Sprint Race of the Mugello Grand Prix, seventh stage of the 2023 MotoGP. The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team rider said he was satisfied for having participated in the fight on the track and for tomorrow he thinks he still has potential.

Brad Binder, on the other hand, finished in eleventh position, also thanks to a long lap penalty that he had to pay for an aggressive maneuver on Alex Marquez which caused the Spaniard to fall.

“It was great to be part of the fight in the Sprint. I felt pretty good right from the start. I had a contact at turn 1 and struggled a bit for most of the day to decelerate and stop the bike. When it started raining I tried to make my way to the front but a couple of mistakes meant I was back in the clutches of the other guys! It was tough out there but I understood the bike more and more towards the end of the race. We've made a step forward and I think we'll have a little more for tomorrow."

Statements Brad Binder, Sprint Race GP Mugello

“I made a good start, went into the first corner and felt a bump on the outside. That's all. When I reviewed the images, it seemed that Alex (Marquez, ed.) went a little too deep and was cutting. I looked to the right and held my line. I shouldn't have received a penalty. I feel sorry for Alex because you never want to get involved in compromising anyone's race, but that cost me points today. I wasn't slow, I could catch up to my opponents and then try to overtake them. I lost time with the Long Lap, I know there are some small things we can improve for tomorrow. The team did a fantastic job, the bike is a rocket, and I feel comfortable. I think we still have something to mine for tomorrow!”
