Italian GP Mugello MotoGP 2023 Ducati – Luigi Dall'Igna (General Director of Ducati Corse) and Claudio Domenicali (CEO Ducati Motor Holding), commented on Pecco Bagnaia's success at Mugello.

Ducati placed a poker, with the Desmosedici of the Pramac Team of Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco in second and third place and the Desmosedici GP of the VR46 Racing Team of Luca Marini in fourth place.

A day to remember, Ducati had never played poker and doing so in the home Grand Prix after the anthem sung by the "Il Volo" trio and with the Frecce Tricolori flying over the finishing straight immediately before the start, was the icing on the cake.

“It was probably one of our best races ever. We have never managed to place four of our bikes in front of everyone and to have done so in our home race makes me very happy. The goal is always to get as many championship points as possible. We have to try to do this on every track and avoid losing concentration. In the first lap, Pecco did well to defend himself from Miller and immediately take the lead. Enea drove a fantastic race and managed to achieve more than we expected, fighting and winning the duel for the top ten.”

“Mugello is Pecco's home and this was truly a magnificent race. Standing on the grid listening to the national anthem and seeing the Frecce pass by was exciting and finishing like this, with a victory, could only make this day even more special. I really have to thank all the people at home who couldn't be with us today. The team has never been as united as this year. The results depend on the work that each of us does, Pecco is the one who kicks the ball into the goal, the goalscorer. In reality, there are many people who do the work behind the scenes, in the shadows, and my thanks go to them.”
