MotoGP GP Argentina Race – Marco Bezzecchi dominated the MotoGP class Argentine Grand Prix, the second round of the 2023 MotoGP, held on the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit.

The driver of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team annihilated the competition by taking the lead in the race held on wet asphalt, driving as if it were dry and leaving huge gaps over the competition.

For "Bez" this is the first victory in MotoGP, a victory he came close to yesterday in the Sprint Race and arrived in the "real" race, the one with standard duration and scores in his second season in the Top Class. The success comes on the track where he achieved the first career victory in Moto3.

It is also the first victory for Valentino Rossi's team, which had already achieved 72 podiums with the #2, three with that of yesterday's Sprint Race, which however does not count for statistics purposes.

On the podium were Johann Zarco, author of a furious comeback, and pole-man Alex Marquez on Ducati Gresini. Fourth at the finish line was Franco Morbidelli, the best Yamaha rider and as competitive as in the Sprint Race, a "Soft" rediscovered, at least in Argentina.

Fifth position for Jorge Martin, who on the Ducati Pramac preceded Jack Miller's KTM and Fabio Quartararo's Yamaha, with the latter recovering from last position after a contact with Takaaki Nakagami.

Closing out the Top Ten are Luca Marini with the second Ducati of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team, Alex Rins with the Honda of Team LCR and Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati Gresini).

Also scoring points were Augusto Fernandez on the KTM of Team GASGAS, Maverick Vinales on Aprilia, Nakagami, Raul Fernandez on Aprilia RNF and Aleix Espargarò on Aprilia.

The Aprilias were disappointing, as was Pecco Bagnaia, with the reigning Ducati champion crashing with 8 laps to go when he was in podium positions. Pecco then got back on the bike and closed out of the points, only ahead of Brad Binder, who after winning yesterday's Sprint Race fell after a contact with Vinales in the very first laps. A mistake that the #1 of the two-wheeled "Red" will blame himself for a long time.

With this victory Bezzecchi moves to the top of the world championship standings with 50 points, with Bagnaia 9 behind, Zarco 15, Alex Marquez 18 and Maverick Vinales 18.
