MotoGP | GP Silverstone FP3: Aprilia in the lead with Espargarò, Bagnaia is seventh

MotoGP British GP Free Practice 3 – Aleix Espargarò and Aprilia achieved the best performance in the third free practice session of the MotoGP class at Silverstone, the track that will host the British Grand Prix tomorrow.

As usual, FP3 was very competitive in the search for direct access to Q2 and in the end the Spaniard and his RS-GP finished in the lead with a time of 1:58.254.

Behind the #41 of the Venetian manufacturer we find three Ducatis, in order those of Jorge Martin (Pramac), Jack Miller (Internal team) and Johann Zarco (Pramac, who crashed in the last attempt when he was wearing a "red" helmet, ed.).

Maverick Vinales with the second Aprilia finished fifth, 0.321s from the top, immediately ahead of the Yamaha of world championship leader Fabio Quartararo, at Pecco Bagnaia's Ducati Factory. Joan Mir (Suzuki), Luca Marini (Mooney VR2 Racing Team) and Alex Rins (Suzuki) also close the Top Ten and directly access Q46.

They will have to pass through Q1 among others: Marco Bezzecchi, Enea Bastianini, Franco Morbidelli and Andrea Dovizioso (who will retire after the Misano race).

Rookie FP3 MotoGP British GP Silverstone

The best rookie was Marco Bezzecchi (Ducati Mooney VR46 Racing Team) 11th, followed by Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati Gresini) 18th, Remy Gardner (KTM Team Tech 3) 21st, Raul Fernandez (KTM Team Tech 3) 23rd and Darryn Binder ( Yamaha WithU RNF) 24th.
