MotoGP Italian GP Mugello Free Practice 3 – Pecco Bagnaia, despite a high-speed crash at the start of the session, won the third free practice session of the MotoGP class Italian Grand Prix, eighth stage of the 2022 MotoGP, scheduled for Sunday on the splendid Mugello track.

The Ducati rider, who got back on the second bike and onto the track with a helmet dedicated to the Frecce Tricolori, set the fastest lap with a time of 1:45.393, a time that allowed him to beat Aleix Espargarò's Aprilia by 0.276 s.

Behind the Spaniard from the Venetian manufacturer we find 5 Ducatis, in order those of Luca Marini (Mooney VR46 Racing Team), Johann Zarco (Pramac Racing), Marco Bezzecchi (rookie Mooney VR46 Racing Team), Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing, who crashed end of the session without consequences, ed.) and Jorge Martin (Pramac Racing, who also crashed and then got back on the second bike, ed.).

Pol Espargarò and Takaaki Nakagami also qualified directly for Q2 with Honda and Fabio Quartararo, the only Yamaha protagonist.

The difficult moment for Franco Morbidelli (Yamaha Factory) and Andrea Dovizioso (Yamaha WithU RNF) continues, who finished in 18th and 25th position respectively. Michele Pirro and Lorenzo Savadori, Ducati and Aprilia testers finished in 20th and 26th place respectively.

The four Italians will have to go through Q1 where we find among others: Maverick Vinales, Alex Rins, the rookie Fabio Di Giannantonio, Jack Miller, Joan Mir and an unrecognizable Marc Marquez, 21st at 1.184 and always looking for a slipstream.

Rookie FP3 MotoGP Italian GP Mugello
