MotoGP | Barcelona GP FP1: Rins is the fastest, Morbidelli is third

MotoGP Catalan GP Free Practice 1 – Alex Rins was the fastest in the first free practice session of the Catalan Grand Prix, ninth stage of the 2022 MotoGP scheduled for Sunday on the Montmelò track, Barcelona.

The Suzuki rider (who we remember will retire at the end of the season, ed.) set the best lap with a time of 1:40.101, set with the medium front tire in the 17th of the 20 laps made.

Johann Zarco with the Ducati Pramac is 11th, ahead of the best rookie of FP1, Raul Fernandez (KTM Tech 3), the aforementioned Quartararo and the winner of Mugello, Pecco Bagnaia, Ducati Factory.

The difficult moment for Jorge Martin (Ducati Pramac) and Andrea Dovizioso (Yamaha WithU RNF) continues, 20th and 22nd respectively, with the Spanish rider crashing at turn 2 without consequences and who we remember will undergo surgery on his hand after the race.
