MotoGP Gp Americas Austin Qualifying – Ducati monopoly in qualifying for the Grand Prix of the Americas, the fourth round of the 2022 MotoGP, scheduled for tomorrow in Austin.

The pole position went to an extraordinary Jorge Martin, who passed from Q1 and achieved the pole position complete with a track record, a record belonging to Marc Marquez, from 2015. For the Spaniard of Team Pramac, eighth front row in MotoGP, sixth pole, the second of the season.

Also on the front row are the official Ducatis of Jack Miller and Francesco Bagnaia, 3 thousandths and 0.128s behind respectively.

Two more Ducatis in the second row, those of Johann Zarco (Pramac Racing) and Enea Bastianini (Gresini), the latter crashing and then getting back on the saddle.

Limit the damage by Fabio Quartararo, the only competitive Yamaha. The reigning champion, who crashed while competing for pole, got on the second bike, taking home a very precious sixth place.

Third row for the Suzukis of Alex Rins and Joan Mir and for the Honda of the returning Marc Marquez, who did not go beyond ninth position, 0.999s from the top.

Tenth, eleventh and twelfth times for Takaaki Nakagami (Honda LCR), Luca Marini (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) and Pol Espargarò (Repsol Honda).

Disappointment for Aprilia, which after the victory in the Argentine GP, achieved the 13th and 14th fastest time with Aleix Espargarò (who crashed in Q1) and Maverick Vinales.

Andrea Dovizioso (Yamaha WithU RNF) will start from the fifth row, 15th fastest, immediately ahead of Ducati rookie Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team), Brad Binder (KTM) and the other rookie Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati Gresini).

Franco Morbidelli disappoints as he doesn't go beyond the 19th fastest time with the Yamaha Factory. The knee injury is now long gone, but “Morbido” still doesn't have the M1 Factory in his “hands”.
