Bagnaia 2022 MotoGP World Champion – Thanks to Pecco Bagnaia, Ducati brought the riders' title back to Borgo Panigale 15 years after the only laurel, the one won in 2007 by Casey Stoner.

A victory for the whole team, but much of the credit goes to Ducati Corse General Director Gigi Dall'Igna, who arrived in Borgo Panigale after leaving Aprilia in 2014.

He is the person responsible for the Desmosedici project in MotoGP and the architect of a revolution not only at the level of the chassis and engine, but also and above all at the aerodynamic level. His ideas have always been copied by Japanese houses and this says a lot about the creativity of the Italian genius.

Statements Gigi Dall'Igna DG Ducati Corse Riders title Pecco Bagnaia

“This World Championship is an immense satisfaction for me and for the entire Ducati Lenovo Team. It is a title that this team and our brand deserve, which comes from the commitment and competence of truly good people and technicians, added to the incredible talent and maturity of Pecco. Today repays us for all the work done. Now that we have reached the top of the world, the next step is to stay there.”
