Statements Francesco Bagnaia favorites MotoGP Test Qatar 2 Day 3

“Last year I didn't do well at the end of the season and so I may not be among the favourites. I did excellent tests, but I also took riders like Mir or Yamaha riders into more consideration and maybe less riders like Aleix Espargarò who however went strong in the tests. The favorites after these tests are the Suzukis, the Yamahas and I hope to always be competitive during the season.”

Statements Francesco Bagnaia Covid-19 vaccine Test Qatar 2 Day 3

“We were truly very lucky to be able to be vaccinated and we have Dorna to thank. In Italy unfortunately it would have taken us much longer to be vaccinated but here fortunately we have already been vaccinated. I'm very happy, happy and lucky to have been able to do it. This will also make us feel calmer even during the season.”

Statements Francesco Bagnaia new fairing Ducati Test Qatar 2 Day 3

“The new fairing helps us when entering corners, especially in fast corners, the bike is a little easier to enter. We'll have to see how it goes on circuits with slower corners, but in any case the bike is more balanced and works quite better."

Statements Francesco Bagnaia Test Qatar 2 Day 3

“We haven't been out on the track yet because today it's much hotter, it's 38°c and the track conditions aren't the best. However, we had this 'chat' first for logistical reasons, since we then have the plane to go home. We will still hit the track even though my test program ended yesterday. As far as the race weekend is concerned, we will all be pretty good but the time-attacks will be done in the afternoon sessions, given the conditions of the previous hours. We will then work on the durability of the tyres.”
