MotoGP | New dates for the Qatar tests
Two days of official testing and a shakedown test have been added to the calendar
MotoGP 2021 – After the cancellation of the Sepang tests, two days of official tests and a shakedown test in Qatar have been added to the calendar.
Following a recent meeting between the Championship organization and the MotoGP Class teams, changes to the Qatar Test program have been agreed.
Two days of extra official testing and one day of Shakedown testing will also be held at the Losail International Circuit in March, before and in addition to the previously confirmed Qatar test, allowing the Teams to further prepare ahead of the 2021 season.
A Shakedown Test will be held on March 5th in which participation will be limited to test riders and rookies of the MotoGP class only. On 6 and 7 March all drivers will be able to participate in two days of extra Official Tests.
The new MotoGP class test program is therefore as follows
March 3-4: Setup
March 5: Shakedown Test – rookies and test riders only
March 6-7: Official test
March 10-12: Official test
