Ducati MotoGP 2021 – Ducati rider Jack Miller underwent surgery this evening to resolve compartment syndrome in his right forearm. In Qatar the #43 had suffered some problems and so the decision was made to have the operation.

The Australian pilot went to the Dexeus University Hospital in Barcelona (Spain) where he was immediately visited by Doctor Xavier Mir (Director of the Upper Limbs Unit of the Dexeus Hospital). After performing an MRI at rest and an MRI under stress, it was decided that surgery needed to be performed immediately to bring the vascular and nervous activity of the forearm back to normal.

Miller will spend 24 hours in hospital and then can begin rehabilitation. The goal is to be able to get on track as early as the next round in Portimao for the Portuguese Grand Prix, scheduled for 16 to 18 April.

Jack Miller Statements Operation

“The operation was short and went very well. I can't wait to start rehabilitation: 10 days until the next Grand Prix in Portimão and, if the recovery phases proceed normally, I will be able to return to the track already in Portugal even if I am not yet at 100% physical fitness. I want to thank Doctor Mir and all his staff at Dexeus Hospital for their availability and care.”
