MotoGP GP Portimao Ducati 2021 – Francesco Bagnaia was the author of a great comeback in the Portuguese Grand Prix, the third round of the 2021 MotoGP.

The Ducati rider, who yesterday saw his pole position taken away due to the yellow flags following Miguel Oliveira's crash, started from the fourth row and reached the finish line in second position.

Many overtakings and great satisfaction for a result that could not have been better given the start from the rear. For Bagnaia it is the second podium of the season, the third in the Top Class. In the world championship standings he is in second position for the first time in MotoGP, with 46 points against Quartararo's 61. Here's what "Pecco" said to Sky Sport's microphones.

“I have to say that I'm really happy, we did a great job all weekend. We lost the chance to win the race with the qualifying penalty. We did really well and achieved the best possible result. Today it was second position and we managed to get it, I couldn't catch up on Fabio (Quartararo) who had a similar pace to me but who started from pole.”

“I can only thank the Team for the work they have done. Being an official rider puts that pressure on you which however pushes you to be a better rider, because in the end being in an official team means you always have to be fast and at the top.”
