MotoGP | Austin GP Qualifying: sensational pole for Bagnaia, Quartararo and Marquez beaten

MotoGP Gp Americas Austin Qualifying – The pole position of the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas, the 15th stage of the 2021 MotoGP, scheduled for tomorrow at 21 pm Italian time on the Austin, Texas circuit, goes to a great Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia.

The Ducati rider, at his fourth pole in the Top Class, the third in a row, achieved it with a time of 2:02.781, the only rider to lap under the "wall" of two minutes and 3. For Ducati this is the 52nd pole in MotoGP.

Bagnaia "breaks" the pole dominance on this circuit which had always been the prerogative of Marc Marquez (Honda), third today and almost placed second from the top.

The last Italian to obtain 4 poles in the same season in the Top Class was Valentino Rossi, in 2009. In the front row the leader of the world championship classification Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha, who has 48 points ahead of Bagnaia, ed.) and as mentioned Marc Marquez.

Jack Miller disappoints, only tenth with the Ducati Factory and ahead of Brad Binder's KTM and Pol Espargarò's Honda.

Franco Morbidelli (Yamaha Factory) and Andrea Dovizioso (Yamaha Petronas) will start from the fifth row with the 13th and 14th times, while Enea Bastianini (rookie Ducati Avintia) is 16th.

Further back, Valentino Rossi (Yamaha Petronas, crashed without consequences, ed.) and Danilo Petrucci (KTM Tech 3) who close the time rankings.
