Yet another success for the eight-time world champion at COTA, Circuit of The Americas
MotoGP Gp Americas Austin Photo Gallery – Marc Marquez (Honda) returned to success and did it in "his" Austin.
The eight-time world champion, who started from the front row, immediately took command of the race, leaving significant gaps behind his opponents. For Marquez the “Captain America” version is the seventh success out of eight races at COTA, Circuit of The Americas.
On the podium were the increasingly leader of the world championship classification Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) and our Francesco "Pecco" Bagnaia, who with three races to go has a 52 point gap on the Frenchman.
Fourth at the finish line was Alex Rins with Suzuki, who preceded Jorge Martin (Ducati Pramac, who was given a long-lap penalty) and a great Enea Bastianini (Ducati Avintia), who after obtaining his first MotoGP podium in Misano , finished sixth, ahead of Jack Miller (Ducati) and the defending champion Joan Mir (Suzuki).
Also scoring points were Andrea Dovizioso (Yamaha Petronas), Luca Marini (Ducati Sky VR46 Avintia) and Valentino Rossi (Yamaha Petronas). Difficult race for Danilo Petrucci (KTM Tech 3) and Franco Morbidelli who finished in 18th and 19th place.
