MotoGP | Jerez test: Marc Marquez, “I'm really happy to be back on the bike”
Twentieth fastest time for the Honda rookie
MotoGP Test Jerez 2020 Honda Repsol – Marc Marquez closed the day of testing preceding the Jerez GP, first stage of the 2020 MotoGP, with the third fastest time.
The reigning world champion stopped the clock at 1'37.941, stopping 148 thousandths from the top. For #93 this test was very important. Honda had not shone during the winter tests, and the Spaniard's physical condition was not the best following shoulder surgery. However, 5 months later, things have changed, small changes made to the bike on the last day of testing in Qatar have confirmed their effectiveness and the physical condition is now at top.

“I'm happy today. We had a tough pre-season, but it seems like at the end of the Qatar test we found something, so it was good to be able to confirm it here because Qatar is always a unique situation. From the beginning of today it was my bike, the bike I had in 2019 but with an evolution. My shoulder also felt good and I was able to be fast. We had to work on consistency, which was the real focus in the afternoon. Honestly, I'm really happy to be back on the bike!”
