MotoGP | Gresini Racing leaves Aprilia, from 2022 it will be "Independent Team"

MotoGP 2022 – Team Gresini's adventure in MotoGP continues. The Team captained by Fausto Gresini will return to the "Independent Team" from 2022 and leave Aprilia.

The Team, already present in all categories of the MotoGP World Championship, thus finds its natural spot, relying exclusively on its own strengths. The agreement signed with IRTA will be for five years, from 2022 to 2026.

Team Gresini has been present in the Top Class since 1997, a category where it has achieved 41 podiums, 14 victories and three world vice-champion titles.

“We are happy to announce this agreement with IRTA which will see us in MotoGP for five years starting from 2022. We will no longer represent the official Aprilia, we will continue our path as an Independent Team, and we will do it with the same desire and dedication. There is so much work to do and so many things to define and communicate. Obviously we are already working on this huge project, and we will reveal all the details little by little. Stay tuned."
