MotoGP | Graziano Rossi: “Valentino can race up to 45 years old”

Coronavirus Valentino Rossi – With the MotoGP world championship not yet started due to the coronavirus pandemic, the rider market holds sway.

The only ones who already have a contract for 2021 are: Marc Marquez, Maverick Vinales, Fabio Quartararo, Alex Rins Joan Mir and Tito Rabat.

Valentino Rossi will have to decide by June and therefore without taking to the track what his future will be.

Having lost the seat of the internal team's M1 to the young Fabio Quartararo, an official M1 would be available for the Pesaro rider but in the Petronas Team. Age will play a fundamental role, but his father Graziano is sure that Valentino will be able to race at high levels for another 4/5 years. Here's what he said to Rai Sport's microphones.

“In my opinion, Valentino can still race for two, three or even four years. He certainly doesn't want to retire now and probably not even in a year. I'm sure of this. I'm sure Valentino continues to be a competitive rider and he would win races under the right conditions. In this difficult situation (races stopped due to coronavirus, ed.) experience will be needed to do better than others and for Valentino it could be an opportunity.”
