MotoGP | GP Valencia Day 1: Alex Marquez, “I'm not too worried about our position”

MotoGP European GP Valencia Honda Repsol Day 1 – Alex Marquez closed the first day of free practice for the European Grand Prix, which takes place on the Valencia track, with the sixteenth time.

The Honda Repsol team rider, after the crash in the second race in Aragon, had some difficulties on the first day of free practice. The Spaniard finished FP1 on a wet track with the fifth fastest time, while in the afternoon, on a wet track, he was unable to do better than the sixteenth fastest time. “Another day of learning MotoGP in different conditions, as the track was changing in the morning, so I was able to take advantage of this time to understand how the tires and the bike behave. Then in the afternoon we had a track that was quite dry for the slicks but it wasn't completely dry. Physically I'm fine after the accident; it wasn't a problem. The times are very close again, so I'm not too worried about our finishing position because we will push again in FP3."
