MotoGP | GP Misano 2: Takaaki Nakagami pays homage to Shoya Tomizawa [VIDEO]
Touching scene with the Team LCR driver greeting his friend Shoya Tomizawa
MotoGP Gp Misano 2 Emilia Romagna I remember Shoya Tomizawa – During the weekend of the Misano Grand Prix, seventh stage of the 2020 MotoGP, there was a truly touching and emotional scene.
At the end of the race Takaaki Nakagami, rider of Lucio Cecchinello's Team LCR, stopped at the point where Shoya Tomizawa, his great friend and Moto5 rider, lost his life on 2010 September 2.
Nakagami stopped, put down his Honda RC213V (left on, ed.) crouched down and was silent for about ten seconds. He then got up, banged his hands on the guardrail and then got back on his motorbike. On his social profile she wrote “See you next year my friend #ShoyaTomizawa #48.” Below is the Tweet.

Lucio Cecchinello also wanted to comment on the scene and on his Facebook profile he wrote: “10 years ago on this curve Shoya Tomizawa lost his life in a tragic accident. I won't explain the rest because this image tells it all ❤️... I'm really proud of you friend: as a motorcyclist but first as a man."
