MotoGP Spanish GP Free Practice 2 – Franco Morbidelli achieved the best time in the second free practice session of the Spanish Grand Prix, the first post-Covid-19 MotoGP event.

The Italian-Brazilian rider took his Yamaha M1 to the top with a time of 1:38.125, a time that allowed him to beat his team-mate Fabio Quartararo by just 27 thousandths.

Great third time for the KTM of South African Brad Binder, who on his debut in the Top Class, put eight-time world champion Marc Marquez behind him, who crashed without consequences.

The biggest Marquez precedes Pol Espargarò's KTM (the two will be teammates in 2021), Cal Crutchlow's Team LCR Honda and Maverick Vinales' Yamaha.

The best Ducati is that of Johann Zarco, eighth on the Desmosedici GP19 of Team Avintia. Followed by those of Andrea Dovizioso and Francesco Bagnaia, while Danilo Petrucci, struggling with neck discomfort after the bad crash in the tests (he slipped at turn 11 on the oil left by Aleix Espargarò's Aprilia, ed.), is thirteenth at 0.711 s from the summit.

Valentino Rossi was far behind, finishing twentieth fastest. The “Doctor” tried to improve the situation this morning, but the gap compared to the leaders grew instead of decreasing.
