MotoGP GP Andalusia Free Practice 2 – The temperature rises on the Jerez circuit (asphalt above 50°) and the times of the MotoGP riders also rise compared to the first free practice session of the Andalusian Grand Prix, the second consecutive race on the circuit named after the late Angel Nieto.

The best of Free Practice 2 was Takaaki Nakagami, who took the LCR Team Honda to the top of the time table with a time of 1:37.715 (against 1:37.063 set this morning by Maverick Vinales, ed.).

The Japanese rider preceded the Ducati of Frenchman Johann Zarco's Team Avintia by 0.155s, which in turn was ahead of Pol Espargarò's KTM by just 19 thousandths.

Fourth time for Franco Morbidelli's Team Petronas Yamaha, with the Italian-Brazilian ahead of Vinales and team-mate Fabio Quartararo, the latter winner of the Spanish Grand Prix.

Joan Mir on the Suzuki set the seventh fastest time ahead of Valentino Rossi, who in turn precedes the Team Pramac Ducatis of Francesco Bagnaia and Jack Miller.

The official Ducatis of Andrea Dovizioso and Danilo Petrucci occupy twelfth and thirteenth place, 0.727s and 0.828s off the top.

Marc Marquez, who will get back on his Honda tomorrow in FP3, did not lap, while the convalescent Cal Crutchlow and Alex Rins finished in nineteenth and twentieth position.

The combined time classification sees virtual access to Q2 for the following riders: Nakagami, Pol Espargarò, Morbidelli, Vinales, Rossi, Miller, Binder, Dovizioso, Oliveira and Aleix Espargarò. Out at the moment among others: Fabio Quartararo, Danilo Petrucci and Francesco Bagnaia.
