MotoGP | Misano GP Qualifying: Vinales on pole, "sparks" between Rossi and Marquez
Second pole of the season for the Spaniard, the second KTM with Pol Espargarò was amazing
MotoGP Gp San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Misano Qualifying – Maverick Vinales won the pole position of the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix, the thirteenth round of the 2019 MotoGP.
This is the second pole position of the season for the Yamaha rider, the eighth in the Top Class. Pol Espargarò's second time was amazing, leading KTM to its best result in MotoGP. The Spaniard from the Austrian manufacturer preceded the rookie Fabio Quartararo, Team Yamaha Petronas SRT.
In the second row we find Franco Morbidelli, fourth with the second M1 of the Malaysian Team, the leader of the world championship classification Marc Marquez and Andrea Dovizioso, best Ducati in the standings.
Valentino Rossi finished seventh, third row and at the end of the session he had a "problem" with Marquez. In the last attempt the two were one behind the other and after the #93 of the Repsol Honda Team put both wheels on "green" at the cart curve, resulting in the lap being reset, he was attacked by the Pesaro driver; the result was both straight and an "aborted" lap for both. As mentioned, Marquez had passed on the green and would have seen the lap canceled anyway.
In the third row we also find Johann Zarco's KTM and the Suzuki of Silverstone winner Alex Rins. The other Suzuki, that of rookie Joan Mir, will open the fourth row, where there are also the Japanese Takaaki Nakagami and the Ducati tester Michele Pirro.
