MotoGP 2019 – Luca Semprini, young press officer for Ducati, passed away during the night in Brno.

Luca (in the photo in the center with glasses), who had arrived in MotoGP this year alongside Danilo Petrucci, had been in the motorcycling scene for years, and died in his sleep in a hotel in Brno. A tragedy that left all speechless.

As a sign of mourning, Ducati has canceled the press conferences scheduled for today and released the following statement.

“Dear all, Team Ducati is deeply saddened to inform you of the sudden death of our MotoGP press officer, Luca Semprini.

Luca, 35, had arrived with the team on Wednesday for this weekend's MotoGP race in the Czech Republic and died overnight in the hotel room where the team was staying in Brno.

We wish to extend our most sincere condolences to all of Luca's family, relatives, friends and colleagues. Further information will be made available once the formalities have been clarified and information on the funeral will be communicated later.”
