MotoGP | Gp Brno Race: Marquez, “I pushed straight away, great weekend” [VIDEO]

MotoGP GP Czech Republic Honda Repsol – Marc Marquez never ceases to amaze, after the pole position achieved yesterday with slick tires with the last sector of the Brno track completely wet (58th pole in MotoGP, equaling Mick Doohan's record), today he won the Grand Prix of Czech Republic dominating ahead of Dovizioso and Miller.

For Marquez, this is the sixth victory of the season, 50th in MotoGP, 76th in his career (same number as the legendary Mike Hailwood “Mike the Bike”).

He is now in the top 4 most successful of the Top Class. Rossi leads with 89 victories, followed by Giacomo Agostini with 68, Mick Doohan with 54 and then there's Marquez with 50. Here's what Honda's #93 had to say at the end of the race.

“I know I'm in the top four of the Top Class in terms of victories, but I prefer not to think too much about these things. As for the race, the strategy was to push from the start. Dovizioso who had the medium tire was with me, I pushed until the end. We all had doubts about how much the tire could drop. After the warm up I was worried, I told the team that I would aim to make the Top Five, I didn't feel good on the bike. But then with all the data we had collected the team completely changed the bike, they did a great job. I pushed harder at the beginning because I didn't know what would happen with the Yamahas of Vinales, Quartararo and Valentino (Rossi, ed.).”

“We have to take another step, the others will too and there will be tracks where we will suffer more like Silverstone. I feel comfortable with the bike and I understand what it "asks" of me. Tomorrow we will have to work on the electronics, we can improve there.”
