MotoGP | Brno test: Valentino Rossi, “I expected more from the new engine” [VIDEO]
Rossi added: "We also worked on the current bike"
MotoGP Test Brno Yamaha MotoGP – Valentino Rossi was able to test the first prototype of the 1 M2020 today during the Brno tests, a motorcycle with a new engine, frame and fairing.
It's the first prototype of next season's bike, but Rossi didn't seem particularly enthusiastic.
The "Doctor" also worked on the 1 M2019, to try to reduce the gap from the competition, Honda and Ducati above all, and will be able to test the 2010 bike again in the Misano tests.
Here's what he said at the end of the day, a day that saw him finish sixth, 0.399s from the top.
Valentino Rossi statements on the new Yamaha M1 2020 Test Brno GP Czech Republic
“It's nice to have something to try, like the old days, there's been a first contact, but there's a lot to do. I expected more from the new engine, it has some improvements, but it's not enough, it's similar to the current one. However, it is the first contact and we will try something new in the next tests. We tested the new prototype and then worked with the 2019 bike. We didn't have much new. The new bike has a different engine and frame, we worked to have more grip, especially during acceleration.”

don't talk nonsense with me reds, these regulations have been around for a long time now, there can't be a huge difference between the engines of the best manufacturers, development with these regulations has now reached the limit, you're not competitive and that's it.
