MotoE GP Germany Qualifying – Niki Tuuli wins the first pole in the history of the electric championship at the German GP.

The qualifications took place with the E-Pole system, essentially the operation is like that of the Superpole. The drivers enter the track one at a time and have only one lap available to record the best time. The drivers took to the track in the reverse order of the combined free practice classification.

The first to take to the track was Maria Herrera who however misunderstood the procedure by leaving the pits early and receiving a black flag, she started from the back of the grid. A very similar mistake was also made by the great favorite Jesko Raffin, who however left pole late. Also in this case the driver was disqualified, he will start from the rear.

The Ajo team driver stopped the clock at 1:27.456, preceding Hector Garzo (Tech7) and Eric Granado (Avintia) by more than 3 tenths.

Fourth time for Mike Di Meglio (Marc VdS) ahead of Xavier Simeon (Avintia) and Matteo Ferrari (Gresini).

Bradley Smith (One Energy Racing) opens the third row ahead of Niko Terol and Alex De Angelis. Mattia Casadei (Ongetta SIC58) completes the top ten.

Lorenzo Savadori (Gresini) is out of the ten and will start eleventh ahead of Niccolo Canepa (LCR)
