The official creation of a Moto3 team has arrived with VR46, the company of 9-time World Champion Valentino Rossi and Sky, pay satellite TV, as protagonists.

From next year, therefore, the Pesaro native and Sky will be together for an ambitious project, which aims to relaunch Italian motorcycling, recently "overwhelmed" by Spanish motorcycling.

Romano Fenati will certainly be part of the team, riding a KTM, the top bike in Moto3. The second rider is yet to be decided although it could be Luca Marini, brother of Valentino Rossi, who had participated as a wild card in the GP of San Marino and Riviera di Rimini, but was closed at the first corner after a fall. The only doubt is that we don't want to "burn" it, so the choice has been postponed for the moment.

Sky will be the title sponsor and the request for participation has already been submitted. Here are the words of Valentino Rossi “We joined forces with Sky to give Italian drivers the chance to be competitive and reach the highest levels."

As previously written, the VR46 also looks to the future; it will definitely be part of this too Nicholas Bulega, son of Davide, who was Italian champion of the 125 Sp and European champion of the 250 GP, team manager of the Lightspeed team until 2007, as well as test driver of the Cagiva 500cc in the 90s. For him who won the 250 4-stroke yesterday (he is again leader of the standings) a future in the CIV, then the next step to the world championship.

      Hello, fat.

However, we must give credit for having created a good opportunity for our home riders. The CIV no longer produces riders capable of being competitive straight away in the world championship, partly also due to the difficulty of having competitive bikes, the "Italian" is no longer successful and certain initiatives are welcome, regardless of the rider and Marini Luca, who I've been following since the first races, up until now he has made his mark and even during the world championship, he didn't make a terrible impression (even if Ferrari did better).

ligera I believe that fatmen and testoners are insisting on blindly hating reds regardless of any issue, perhaps because it pisses them off that their champion retired prematurely, leaving them without satisfaction.

Well! I'm happy for him: great way to stay in the world of MotoGP. Unfortunately, and I'm sorry, he should have done it earlier, when he felt he was no longer what he was in the past, i.e. the GREATEST!

    Best wishes!!

  • With its media weight it can only do good for the national movement!

Maybe the federation will also give itself a shake-up...

Then it's time for him to start thinking about a post-career career, it's clear that now he's still convinced of winning the world championship but if next year is the same as this one it'll be either retirement or production-based derivatives! Or rally maybe

Luckily you have lots of friends who shovel your shit off the floor since there isn't much space left in the toilet for all of you.
Unfortunately, just flushing the toilet isn't enough to make you disappear, but ultimately you are a niche. 4 Haters out of millions of fans..as Rossi says "stay united" haha sooner or later some cat will come by and cover you with dirt, no one likes shit on the ground ;)

however, as LIGERA says, it must be said that he is doing a great thing for ITALIAN motorcycling. if we wait for the FIM we can hope badly!!! rating 10 for this.

    1. H954RR said:

For me, that slimeball called "il gordo" does it more for his pocketbook advantage than to bring young Italian drivers back to the highest levels, by now we know his hunger for money and for the pride of that insipid character.
Just to make symba66 happy, hahaha!

Ah let's hope you at least pay your taxes with the vrM45+1, hahaha!!!

      2. light said:

I don't think there is any doubt that money is the main stimulus.
However, we hope that when it comes to hiring pilots, the "bag" they bring with them is no longer important, but rather their piloting skills are more important.

The lack of "money" this year certainly made itself felt as he was used to.

Vale's "salary" has dropped significantly, plus there is also the "rumour" of Valentino having landed at Yamaha at no cost (perhaps zero cost is exaggerated, but these are the rumours).
At no cost because it seems that his salary is paid by Ezpeleta (and not by Yamaha).
You know that it was the Spaniard who "fighted" to get him back on a competitive motorbike, Honda replied "I'll pass" and if he wanted to ride one of their motorbikes, he would have to buy it like everyone else.

In cases like this, the thing I think about is:
“life is a wheel, it turns continuously and what is done, is often rendered.

      3. bcs said:

Well H, a team owner who doesn't want to make "money" too, has yet to be born...

A team is created when there is a plan to create something in motorsport, and obviously every team owner also aims to obtain increasingly higher earnings.

This is to afford more advanced material and the best pilots (on paper)…

What do you think Gresini (the first one that came to mind) doesn't look at his bank account?

Martinez also wanted the 600 thousand euros (reduced to 400 thousand)…

I only hope that this project is solid and capable of leaving a mark in the world championship...

I agree with testoner when he writes: "...if we wait for the FIM..."

With their NON-projects (partly due to lack of funds, but partly also due to lack of them) they meant that an entire generation of pilots was skipped.

Only after seeing the Spanish domination did they start to do something again... But things don't change overnight, especially when it comes to young people. It takes time.
Time that they previously wasted and today we are paying the consequences (see also F1, where we no longer have any Italians on the grid... Despite the fact that there are several talents among the young people).

      4. light said:

For what I don't care about.

It is not so automatic (in F1 in particular) that the absence of Italian drivers is an indication of poor competitiveness.
Too often we resort to the driver's "purse" to be able to put together a team and only drivers with significant "purses" (given the current costs) manage to find a steering wheel.

Setting up a Moto3 team for the Italian federation is not excessively expensive and can also be done without depending on the "bags" of the young riders, given that they often don't have any, the same thing certainly cannot be said of GP2, it is mandatory depending on private teams and without significant "bags", you can't find a steering wheel.
Not because money is preferred to a driver who would allow him to win, but without the "purse" of the driver's sponsors, the team risks not having the money needed for the season.

Only by having the skills and luck of a Bianchì, hired by Ferrari and waiting for growth in a minor team, can one afford to drive exclusively for his "skills" as a driver, but if you are an ordinary Valsecchi, you risk having to wait endlessly as 3rd driver, although excellent results were achieved in GP2.

For me ligera, the forum relationship with you ends here.
It is clear that answering you is useless.
For me, replying to you was "annoying" after just a few of your replies.
You have demonstrated this in all our discussions.
        Then:
        Take good care of me.

ohhh finally a pleasant consideration to read. NOW I'M WRITING BIG I WOULD LOVE FOR A POSSIBLY ITALIAN RIDER TO ARRIVE IN DUCATI TO WIN BUT IF THEY DON'T CHANGE THEIR PROJECT THEY WILL ALL END UP LIKE ROSSI LIKE DOVIZIOSO WHO I RESPECT VERY MUCH. WHO KNOWS SOMEONE WILL COME OUT OF THE ROSSI TEAM ONE DAY. GO PILOTI ITALIANO LET'S MAKE SURE THE REAL BRAND NO LONGER PLAYS ON THE PODIUM.

the problem is that we like to joke... but when we need to talk seriously we do it. unlike you who want to be serious but shoot a lot of shit. Damn, what are you doing here??? but do you realize that what you write makes no sense??

  • bcs said:

Let's hope it's a serious project, and not like many that foundered after a few years.
The foundations are there, but we need to build on them...

Time will tell if this too is one of the many projects closed after a short time, or if it will be an important private reality.

    Good for young Italian drivers....

However, it's a shame to have effectively skipped a generation of pilots...
