Romano Fenati and Francesco Bagnaia, drivers of the Sky Racing Team by VR46, close the three-day IRTA test in Jerez de la Frontera with confidence. Even though they didn't set exciting times on the flying lap, both showed excellent race pace and are therefore looking positively towards their debut in Qatar.

“It went well, apart from some grip problems which however we have almost completely resolved – began Romano Fenati – We have found a good feeling with the bike and we feel ready. In terms of results, we have always been in the leading group. In the flying lap we struggled a little more, but that's not what we were looking for, especially today. We opted more for the race pace, which is very good, and that's what we will need to be competitive during the race."

“These days of testing served to get us right with the bike and this is the most important thing – added Francesco Bagnaia – In fact in the last session of the afternoon I managed to have a good lap time and I obtained a time of 1: 47.041 which is absolutely not bad. You always have to push hard and I'm happy to have found the right feeling with the bike before the debut in Qatar.”

Vittoriano Guareschi, team manager of the team created in collaboration with Valentino Rossi's VR46, then spoke.

“We are ready” – says Vittoriano Guareschi, team manager of the team created in collaboration with Valentino Rossi's VR46 – “These were positive winter tests. We were starting from scratch and therefore the objective was to arrive at the end of the tests with the riders capable of fighting for the important positions. And there we are. We are happy because we leave Jerez with both riders satisfied with the bike. In the last outing with Pecco we managed to rediscover the feeling with the bike that had made him go well in the previous tests. And this makes me happy because he arrives in Qatar with good foundations. Romano confirmed that he can always stay up front, he has a good pace and we manage to maintain constant times, even without making exploits in just one lap. These are concrete times and this, in anticipation of the race, is what then allows you to compete and stay in the top positions. This gives us hope for a leading race in Qatar.”
