Jack Miller ended Day 2 in Jerez de la Frontera, the scene of the IRTA tests of the Moto3 class, in the lead. The Australian rider, who had also been the fastest in the first session, stopped the clock at a time of 1:46.259, putting his KTM ahead of that of Isaac Vinales' Team Calvo, 292 thousandths behind.

Third time for Danny Kent (1:46.809). The Team Red Bull Husqvarna Ajo rider (basically a KTM with the Swedish brand) precedes Jakub Kornfeil, with the second KTM of Team Calvo and Efren Vazquez, riding the Honda of Team Saxoprint-RTG.

The Italians are further behind; the best is Francesco Bagnaia, who achieved the ninth time with the KTM of the Sky Racing Team by VR46. Niccolò Antonelli (Junior Team GO&FUN Moto3) and Romano Fenati (riding the second KTM of the Sky Racing Team by VR46) are instead in twelfth and thirteenth position, 0.972 and 1.016 adrift respectively and immediately behind the Hondas of Alex's Team Estrella Galicia 0.0 Rins and Alex Marquez.

Alessandro Tonucci (Mahindra Team CIP Moto3) is in twenty-second position, while Enea Bastianini (with the second bike of the Junior Team GO&FUN Moto3) is twenty-fifth. The two standard-bearers of San Carlo Team Italia, Matteo Ferrari and Andrea Locatelli, ended the tests in twenty-sixth and twenty-eighth position.
