Moto3: Jerez Test Day 1, Romano Fenati “We worked well, I'm confident”

Romano Fenati achieved the best time on the first day of testing in Jerez de la Frontera. The Sky Racing Team by VR46 rider stopped the clock at a time of 1'47"242, ending a day of testing in the lead for the first time. The driver from Ascoli said he was satisfied with his performance and happy with the team's work.

“We worked well. It's only the first day, maybe the others still need to get sorted out, but we started off quite strong straight away – said Romano Fenati – There were some small problems mid-morning but we solved them. We will try other setups in the next few days. We have good feedback, including chronological ones. We are getting better and better, little by little we are gaining experience as a team. I am very confident and happy with the team's work.”

Seventh time instead for his team-mate Francesco Bagnaia, who after some problems encountered in the morning managed to recover in the afternoon.

“KTM has brought a new strategy which is quite difficult to develop, the engine rpm remains high when braking and therefore it is a bit difficult to stop the bike. But we're getting used to it, in fact in the end we managed to set a good time. I am optimistic for tomorrow.”
